I'm back in Canada and back at School.

One other thing that I did in Scotland just before I left was going to the Zoo with Hugh's Mum, Hugh and Sabrina. As usual it was raining, but most of the animals still came out.

Even though it was raining this tiger was still out in the open, and this penguin was trying to build a snowman! Sometimes they have a penguin parade at the zoo where all the penguins walk around, but they didn't want to come out the day that we went.

Soon after this trip it was time to go home. The flight was very long, but I was happy to be home.

We started today by going for coffee with Hugh's family near Holyrood Palace, where the Queen stays when she visits Edinburgh.

After that me, Hugh and Hugh's mum walked up Arthur's Seat, a Hill in the middle of Edinburgh. They call it Arthur's seat because some people think it looks like a seat. Here is a picture of me and Hugh's mum Pam, standing in the ruin of an old chapel near the bottom of the hill.

Here is me about half way up the hill, you can get a good view of Edinburgh from here.

Climbing all that way isn't easy so we took a rest at the middle.

Here is me finally at the top, it was very windy but you could see for miles around.

When we got back down to the bottom we went and fed the swans. The Queen owns all of the swans in Britain.

Edinburgh

Today we went into town and visited the Royal Mile, it's a street that goes from Edinburgh Castle down to Holyrood Palace where the Queen stays when she is in Edinburgh. This is a photo of me standing in a Scottish alley, in Edinburgh they call them "closes".

Here I am calling someone, and this is what Scottish phone booths look like.

This is a picture of the Royal Mile and its old buildings.

This was a piper playing on the street, I really liked it because he was playing nice music. He was playing 'Amazing Grace'.

Fun and Games

In the past few days I've been up to lots of things. Here is a picture of me in front of the Scottish Parliament, Hugh's mum said it cost too much money to build.

Near the Parliament is an exhibition call Dynamic Earth. You get to travel back in time to see how the world started, and how it has evolved through out the years.

The next day we all went to 'Butterfly world', there were lots of Butterflies to see as well as snakes and spiders.

This fish tried to eat my finger!

Christmas

This is the house that I am staying in while I'm here. The road is called Brunstane Road. The car is Hugh's mum's car.

This is a picture of the promenade, a sidewalk on the beach. It's very close to the house we are staying at. The sand is frozen.

Here is another picture of the beach at the end of the road.

This is a picture of me playing the piano. I love playing piano because I know how to play many songs. I really really love playing We Three Kings and Coldplay. On Christmas Eve there was a party and I played We Three Kings for everyone.

This is two of Hugh's sisters, Martha and Hannah, and his Papa. They are opening their presents on Christmas morning. Papa rang the bell to tell everyone that Santa has been, after that we got up and started to open all the presents.

One of my presents was a kite, after all the presents were opened we went down to the beach to fly it. There wasn't much wind so it didn't really fly, maybe we'll try later.

When we got home it was time for Christmas Dinner, here is Hugh's Mum, Pam, and his sister Martha. Hugh's family is Vegetarian so we didn't have turkey but the food was good and they spent all day preparing it. Everyone gets a Christmas cracker and inside there is a hat which everyone wore, I think this is tradition in Scotland.

Here is another picture of Edinburgh. Some of the roads are made from cobbles and are really bumpy, and there are lots of black taxis which are famous in Britain.

Post Box

Tonight we went for a walk down to Hugh's Papa's house, first we went to a post box to mail a letter for Hugh's Mum. After that we went to walk on the promenade, a promenade is a road right next to a beach. Then we went to Hugh's Papa's House.

Christmas In Scotland

I have left Canada and arrived in Scotland for Christmas. We took an eight hour flight in this plane, best thing was I was allowed to play my PSP for most of the ride. When we arrived in Edinburgh it was if though we went forward in time because of the seven hour time difference in Scotland. We arrive in the morning just as people were going to work, while back home everyone was getting ready for bed. I was very tired because I didn't sleep on the flight, eventually I fell asleep in the car we rented.

It's cold here but there is no snow. Here is a picture of me on a street in Edinburgh. The buildings are around 500 years old and have been well taken care of.

We went out to buy some stocking stuffers and met Hugh's (my step-dad) sister Hannah in the shop she works at, here is a picture of Hannah.
